" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
Great photos. I think that is more than enough hints that we really must go back to the zoo after our 'Life Of Mammals' book reading marathon. Aren't hippos the most incredible creatures?
i'm so jealous that you and Tina and Patricia got to go to the zoo together!!! looks like it was a great day! and yours and Patricia's photo of the snake looks just like the illustrated cover of that Verdi book :-)
We had a great time... it was fun getting to "see" folks IRL! lol
That poor turtle... she lost her ability to regulate her buoyancy.....she flipped over and the crowd was having a mild panic attack.... another turtle swam by this one and tried to help it seemed.... she could have drowned being upside down like that... but was quickly flipped over by a zoo keeper...
I loved the hippos too... massive beasts they are!! I also enjoyed the giraffes... but I didn’t get a good picture...
Thanks for sharing WW with me! I love it! BIG HUG!
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Great pictures! I'm so glad it's starting to warm up here finally so we can go to our zoo comfortably.
As I posted on another WTM hive member, I was green with envy to here of your day at the zoo with the others. What a great time!

Great Photos Lisa- The snake is a little too close for comfort for me, even behind glass! The color is great!
Thank you for your kind comment!
