" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
Awwww, daddy-daughter dance - they all look wonderful (despite the hair calamity ... btdt ... it never looks as good as the salon ... but it's $11 vs. $110 ... and I guess it's just one of those things that you get what you pay for .... sighing, and wanting highlights again. grin)
Thanks everyone... I will tell sis that you all don’t think its that bad! *Ü* The poor girl cried and cried and cried... its yellow! sob... she just wanted blond... not yellow/orange....
I encouraged a frost and pulling extra hair through... but she wanted all over.
I did a box color a couple times when I was a teen and had the same experience.... but I guess she is like her ole ma and has to learn it on her own... box colors do not work well on us ash blonds... or at least I have not found one... lol
They had a great time at the dance... very special.
On a personal note, I never had good results with box color. the color never seemed to come out the way I wanted it. I went through some major hair loss from it. I just never seemed happy with what I paid for. Or maybe it was what I didn't pay for a that time.
Oh, I wish I had a picture of the time I let dh highlight my hair in an attempt to save a few dollars! Tell Christian that I feel for her, I really do. And hers doesn't even look bad like mine did. We did it when chunky highlights were popular so I had brown hair with bright orange chunks all over my head! So sad, so very, very sad. And of course I ended up spending twice as much for "color correction" at the salon. Sigh.
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

What a beautiful photo! thanks for sharing.
What a gorgeous photo! They all look so wonderful. Thank you for sharing such a great evening.
Love the pictures! I would say that I like her hair, but I know it never helps to hear someone else say that. ;-)
I love seeing a picture of the girls with Dad. I think her hair is fine, but I do understand that feeling when you just aren't happy with it. ;-)

They look so cute! I need to get a picture of my dd with her daddy.
It is a great picture!
many of us have done worse to our hair. It is part of growing up. Kuddos to you for letting her try anyway.

Happy WW
That is an awesome picture! The girls will be so glad to have it in the future (regardless of hair color)!

Why in the world would an ash blonde want to be any other color...said the brunette who secretly, or not so secretly, pines for ash blonde hair.
Beautiful picture. And the hair is cute...kind of Ann-Margaret?
I'm slow in gettting around to see WW pictures -- the all look so great! I love that Dad pulled out the tux for his daughter's. What a great guy!
