Koinonia Academy Summer Schedule 2008

I have been putting thought into what we will be accomplishing over the summer. Although its not summer yet, we will begin our summer schedule tomorrow ( Monday May 19th) We will continue with science over the summer, Christian is behind. RyLee is not, but I want to cover Zoology 1 before we begin our official school year.

Both girls will continue IEW SWI B and C over the summer.

We are reading all of the Little House books over the summer as family read aloud. Its been years since Christian has read them. I think she was in first or second grade. RyLee was a wee one still... so, we will read them together. The girls will take turns reading out loud.

The month of July will be taken off. We have our Basque student returning form last year and he is here for the month. In July we have a lot of things planned already for the students who come, but when we have our family time with our student we want to go to Pioneer Farms
and Camlann Medieval Village. They have summer festival we would like to take advantage of! We will also treat him to a trip to our Seattle Zoo, The Seattle science Center and Imax theater.

August we will continue on with our summer studies and begin our official school year the 2nd or 3rd week in September.

I'm so sorry you missed the announcement about the Notebooking Carnival! I did announce it on the YahooGroup newsletter, and on the site itself.

I'll have the next one around the beginning of the traditional school year, so keep it in mind during the summer!

I'm working up "summer school" schedules as well. It's the first time I've done it so we'll see how well it goes over! :-)
