" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
These photos look quite familiar to our own toad adventure over the weekend. Katie and Madalyn finally released their toad in our woods after convincing them that the toad's family would miss him (stirring up visions of "Finding Nemo"). After letting "toadie" go, Madalyn cried in her room about how much she missed her favorite toad :-)
What a cute little surprise! My kids love the pictures and are remembering all their favorite creatures that they have caught.
About your question on my WW: Actually he wasn't mimicking anyone, but he was getting a lot of laughs for his scowls! My daughter did this too when she was a toddler.
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Love the frog pics! I just don't get a lot of frog photo-ops with my girls. We need to get out in the dirt! Now, if it would just thaw for us... :)
