ok... one more thats a favorite! Pumpkin Torte

My friend Mo (whom I think of every time I make this) was the one to get our family hooked on this wonderful fall treat! It really is a favorite! You will not be dissapointed at all and its easy to make. Great for church pot lucks too!

Pumpkin Torte w/ homemade whipping cream YUMMY!

Ingrediants:

1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cloves
5 large eggs
1 tbl vanilla
1 20 oz can pumpkin
2 cans evaporated milk
1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/2 cubes butter softened

heat over to 350

combine sugar, salt, cinn, ginger, cloves. Add eggs, vanilla, pumpkin, and milk and mix thoroughly. Pour into greased 9x12 pan and set aside.

In a separate bowl mix the box of yellow cake mix with the butter only. don't make the cake. Only mix the yellow cake mix and the butter enough to make clumps and then crumble it onto the top of the pumpkin mixture.

Bake for 1 hr and check with a knife. Add 10-15 min if needed. Cool and leave in pan. eat warm or cold.

Homemade whipping cream

heavy whipping cream
1-2 vanilla or other flavor
1-6 tsp sugar

mix the heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and sugar to taste. And whip with a hand help mixer until fluffy. It take 5-7 min. or longer. Don't plan to make it in advance as whipped cream falls apart. You can make it a couple of hours in advance and keep in the fridge. But it is worth it to make fresh. So delicious. Other flavors to try are almond or peppermint.
