Wordless Wednesday

I will apologize now for this not being wordless, but it cant be helped.

This is the face of a guilty dog. What is she guilty of you ask? She is guilty of eating 2, yes, 2 batches of almond rocca.... before I was able to put the chocolate and nuts on it.

I'm not sure if you know whats in 2 batches of almond rocca... so I will tell you. *Ü* 2 pounds of butter and 4 cups sugar. That's it....

Normally this is her " I'm the bad dog" look.... but since it was so much butter and sugar... I'm thinking this is her... "I really don't feel good" look.

Update on Gidget! Well an emergency vet visit was in order. Unfortunately butter can cause pancreatitis in a dog. She had a swollen belly and this was an indicator that she was in trouble. She has been re hydrated and is now sleeping in front of the fire. She has meds she needs every six hours for the next week, but we think she will make a full recovery. Sigh... darn dog!!! She costs more $$ than raising my children!

YIKES!!!!! Now I feel a little bit better about the 4 or 5 puzzle pieces my dumb dawg ate yesterday. :-} Hope your beast is feeling better, and sorry for your butter and labor lost!!

ohhh, you can't be mad at that sweet face! We used to have a yellow lab...good dogs, although they do find themselves in occasional trouble.

Well... the dog is now at the vet

:(

Who knew butter can cause pancriantitis (sp) in a dog.... This dog gets into more trouble over food than any person or animal I know. First dark chocolate, now this....

Now I have guilt for making fun of the darn animal.... poor baby....

My friends pup got that pancreas stuff after eating a bunch of cooking oil. I sure hope your baby won't have the same. You think they would learn! Thankfully our Golden is not much of a table food eater, unless it's meat :-) Sending good thoughts out the WA way.

Glad to hear she will be okay. The look on her face speaks for itself. Too sweet.

Labs will eat ANYTHING. But, then again, so will German Shepherds and Standard Poodles. I know. I've had all these breeds. One of my Standard poodles ate half a pair of underwear a few weeks ago. Ewww!!!

I'm glad your pupper is on the mend and will make a full recovery. Note: All almond rocca must be be accompanied by a security guard. Or put on top of the fridge. :^)

Thank you for your comment on my blog. Yes, that is a Lego Competition. We went to see one for the first time this weekend. We were not apart of it. We went to observe.

By the way,I hope your dog is OK!

How's your dog now? I hope all is well. I have sent a gift that I guess is very late because it's quite a distance and with holiday shipping and all....Don't know how to email this but maybe you could do a post on favorite music? I was going to send you a Christmas music cd from yourmusic.com but don't know what you like or already have. Post asap and I will get one out to you. Be sure if you get a cardboard cd in the mail, you have your kids open so I remain ...your secret sister.
