" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
I love it! It's hard to find things like this for a "teen" party that they think is cool. I can imagine that you guys had fun! It's so creative. Good job Mama!
Thanks! I was going to try and scan pictures from each year on her "tour" but I didn’t have the energy last night. lol She was little during a on digital era. *Ü*
Her and a group of kids form church went to Red Robin to eat... no parents... they each had to have one on and uh... guess what... wouldn’t ya know the paparazzi showed up! *Ü* We tried carefully not to embarrass her... but got a few pictures anyway...
It was a sweet 16 and she did have a great day.... Thanks for coming by!
I almost hate to leave a comment b/c there are currently 16 posts on this entry celebrating Christian's 16th b-day! But I just have to mess it up and be #17! ;) That is just too precious. Way to go Mom and Dad and Happy Sweet 16 Christian! It only gets better and better from here!!!!
lol.. Jennefer... that was a good observation! You are number 17! Actually it is getting better and better... I will never want to go back to the ages of 12-14 though... wooooowie....
Christian is a delightful funny girl....and has such a sweet spirit! I honestly wish you could all get to know her... you would love her!
Well Tina knows her... but the rest of you... I wish that...
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
