" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
No, its not. Isnt it cool? It was from a local garden that I took my daughter to for a nature walk. We also went with another family. Here is a link to a few more pictures.
Our daughter is obsessed with Bonsai trees. She loves to check out books on them, even though we have never had one. This one is so amazing. I love coming here. You never know what you are going to see!
Fascinating. If not for the context (sitting in a shallow bowl on top of a stump), I'd never guess this to be a miniature tree. And even knowing it's a miniature, it's hard to believe that it's nearly 30 years old.
Thanks for coming to play! Its been a long day my ww peeps... I woke up at 6 sick... and every 30 minutes since then.. Getting sick... it lasted till about 3... I’m almost human... but Im run down big time....
Thanks for coming by... it was so nice to read comments today when I logged on...
Hi Lisa! Checking in with my bloggy friends since I've been away on spring break. I hope you are feeling better today. Love the sketches! Very good. I bet you guys did have a good time on your field trip! That is BIG for a bonsai! Have a better day today!
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Is that your bonsai tree?
It is interesting how little soil it needs!
:) Happy WW!

It was very educational... and the guy who owns the garden claims to have trees over 1000 years old...

What a magnificent bonsai! Thanks for sharing. Happy WW!
Like a little brother among the big brother tress.
What a neat tree! I bet you guys had fun!
What kind of tree is it? I thought it was a bonsai as well. Really interesting - especially around the roots.
Very cool! I bet it is way old too! Are those buds on it, or is it always like that? I love the pinecones hanging from the tree in the background!
Happy WW my friend!
