" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
I enjoyed reading that, Lisa. It was very helpful since I am trying to throw in more Art studies into our homeschool. We are also going the take an Art Museum field trip in a few weeks. I printed out the Art scavenger hunt from HOTM (an old post). I think it will be a lot of fun on our trip. Thanks so much!
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
