" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
So.... bigger than a baby bear but waaaaAY smaller than a Polar bear?!? Very fun photo.
Btw, thanks oodles for the tip last week about Google reader. OMGosh - I like it soooo much. No more random visiting just hoping I'll find something new. Now I know when there's something to go see :-)
Lol Patricia! I think you are right! Too funny… Google reader. I use gmail for all my home school related emails. I click on the link at the top of my gmail page that says Reader, and it opens a new page. I can place bloggs in a search bar….click it and then add them to the sidebar or a file. When anyone who is in my sidebar or file…in Reader, its highlighted and I know they posted. So I don’t have to waste time going to blogs and then getting there and it not being updated. I only go when its updated. I love it!
Brittney… I have to agree w/ you on this one. When I posted the picture and then looked at how big the paw on the polar bear was compared to Christians head… well, its scary! Its bigger than her head!
Friend Susan… I love Google reader! If I didn’t have folks in my side bar, it has been hit and miss visiting peoples blogs…. Someone mentioned this on a yahoo group and I had to check it out… to easy not to use…
Lee… we love Penguins here! In fact Rylee made a lap book on them last year! It was cute. Wish I would have thought to do that with her, she would have loved it!! The Emperor Penguin is the tallest… I think they can get as tall as 4 ft and up to 90 pounds… that’s if I’m remembering it correctly…..
Thanks for playing with me…. Next weeks ww… is a new member of the family…. Are you all intrigued??
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
