Exploring Tapestry with Tapestry Teas

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Tapestry Tea. I was asked to come because the woman who was hosting it knew little about TOG. She had borrowed a classic guide (from the same woman I borrowed from 5 years ago *Ü*)and then printed off some of the free weeks at the site. She wanted me to come and share and hopefully answer questions since Im a user! *Ü*

I was glad to go. 2 of the woman who attended already purchased TOG year 1 redesign but wanted to talk with a "live in the flesh" person. The other 4 were interested and not sure.

When I first arrived, we went around the room and the ladies all introduced themselves. The hostess asked them to share why they were here and what interested them about TOG. All of them shared the same answer....Gods sovernty was woven through out each year plan and through out History. It was in chronological order, and it included world view and church history as subjects. The streamlining and God being central was important to these ladies.

We watched a new dvd put out by TOG. Its 20 minutes versus the hour long dvd we have been showing. It was wonderful! It was a round table discussion with Marcia Somerville and 4 other woman who all use TOG. Marcia asked specific questions, and they all responded with answers. It really was great. I believe it gave answers to questions and fears I hear when folks are inquiring about Tapestry of Grace curriculum.

I felt good about the way it went, and so glad I could go!It was good practice in getting my feet wet before the WHO convention next weekend. I'm starting to get a bit nervous to speak in front of folks! My prayer is that I don't get to nervous and draw a blank as I'm up in front of people! lol

If you are wanting to get a good feel for TOG and not sure you can make it to a local convention, I would suggest the new Tapestry Tea packet. You dont have to hold a tea for others to get it, but that in itself could prove to be a lot of fun

I can't wait to see you next weekend. I will be there Friday...and maybe Saturday. :-) I will call you when I get there. I am sure you will be fine!

I have never looked at TOG but having tea with you would be a good reason to look into it.
