" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
The above picture is now wrong... we have a solid 13 inches! It has been snowing since 2:00 yesterday and it has not stopped yet. 26 hours and still snowing!
Seriously...that is amazing! Collin's parents said they have 6 inches now BUT it is suppose to warm up tomorrow...NOOOOOOOOOO...we are driving up there tomorrow and I want to see the white stuff!
Enjoy it and drink some hot cocoa when you come in for me! :o)
Well, I like your sticking it in the snow. Perhaps I will scope out a stop the children haven't trampled with their sledding and take a very accurate measurement. I did measure it on my outside table, but I like your technique better.
I distinctly remember hearing the words....but it almost never snows here and when it does it doesn't stick....when I first moved here. hmmmm.....
Lisa: I just wanted to say Hi! I hope you are all doing well. We're not getting any snow here yet but it is FREEZING!! I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas. ~Rhonda
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
