" We're not trying to do "School at Home." We're trying to do homeschool. These are two entirely different propositions. We're not trying to replicate the time, style or content of the classroom. Rather we're trying to cultivate a lifestyle of learning in which learning takes place from morning until bedtime 7 days each week. The "formal" portion of each teaching day is just the tip of the iceburg. "
This is what a tween and a teen do while left to their own devices... no... Really it is what a tween and teen do while being side tracked (banished till the room is clean)from cleaning the pig pen they call a room....
HAHAHAHA! I laugh because before I read your comment I thought....I wonder if they were banned to their room to clean it and instead they were fooling around. HAHAHAHAHA! I thought this because that is what I would be doing!

PS! I have missed you ladies!!! Baseball ends next week and I am not signing up for anything....really I won't!!! Except soccer should be starting soon.....
hehe. the good news is: all that lovely swirling wonderful hair DOES distract one from seeing the mess on the floor ... until one reads the Mama's comment and takes a second look! ;-)
We live... in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest.... Im 42 years young and I have homeschooled my peeps for 18 years now! 2 grown and on their own, and one just got married!!! I created this blog to share our lives and home school journey and maybe just a bit of therapy for me! I desire a Koinonia relationship with my family and friends. Here you will find an imperfect woman striving to live, love and learn all she can at being a woman, wife, mom and friend.
Isaiah 43:16; 18-19This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

I showed my girls and they thought it was so cool. My 8yr old even tried to do it with her hair, which is only 3 inches long.
So funny! What great shots!
